The Legend of the Beautiful Classmates
On one beautiful spring day in 2010, a young Korean man named Tommy Choi was admitted to the MIT Sloan Class of 2012. As the first day of school came near, Tommy needed to visit Canada to gain legal foreign student status. He notified his classmates of this journey writing, "Beautiful Classmates - If crossing border of Canada works, you guys will be able to see me tomorrow wearing super large font 'MIT' t-shirt. Or if this doesn't work, I'm going back to Korea to see my parents and my dog." This is where the term "Beautiful Classmates" was born.
Lucky for us, Tommy made it back to the States. As the Class of 2012 descended on campus, we learned how every member of the MIT Sloan community carried the same sincere, friendly, and humble traits as our good friend, Tommy Choi. Each year a new class of students continues to embody the beautiful characteristics that makes MIT Sloan so amazing. SloanGear is excited to introduce the Beautiful Classmates Tee to help celebrate our legendary MIT Sloan community.
